Does parsley make a big difference?

Well I was going to make creamy mushroom and broccoli pasta which needs oninon, er, fettucine, cream, vegetable stock, oil, mushroom, and parsley flakes but I forgot to get parsley and my mum wont go back to the shop. does parsley actually make much of a difference? Would it not be the same without it?
