How can I dye my skin red?

I would like to cosplay this Halloween as a demon character from "panty stockings and garter belt" named kneesocks. Her and her sister are BRIGHT RED. Like blood, kind of. I am aware of how permanent dyeing is, and that is why I like it. I am willing to be bright red for as long as it takes. I don't want to use paint, because it flakes, cracks, and is generally uncomfortable. I live in Arizona, so sweat is also a major problem with paint. Short of going out and getting the worst sunburn in history, any suggestions?
