I want to use glow stick liquid to make a green lantern ring glow, how long would it glow for?

For the midnight premier of green lantern I made a green lantern ring and want it to glow so I was thinking of breaking open a glow stick and painting the liquid onto the ring. About how long would the liquid glow for? I am just going to be using a cheap brand from Walmart of glowstick.
