Can you use Soothing gel with pure aloe as a face primer?

I know you can you aloe vera gel as a face primer... i dont have that but i do have a soothing gel with pure aloe.. it says it soothes sun-dried skin, it also says it is natural and prevents peeling, flaking and it leaves the skin smooth, soft and supple. do you think this would work as a face primer???
